Johnny Jumper
Grand Haar brought over a Johnny Jumper for Kane. I was hesitant to put it up at first because it made me nervous but I gave in the other day and Kane loves it. He was laughing and jumping all over. He loves to watch the animals while he is in it. We discovered last night that he doesn't like it when Chris plays rough with Tweek. I don't think he understood and he started screaming. We have never heard him scream in fear like that before. Poor little guy. He checked out his bedroom the other day. It is like he is seeing new things. He will hang in it for quite a while. We think he is teething right now so there was a puddle of slobber under it last night. We laughed. He is showing all the signs of teething except for the fever. Kane and I got very little sleep last night he was really fussy. He still won't sleep at daycare so he slept all day on Saturday. I have gotten used to getting up at 4 in the morning. He goes to bed so early that is when he wants to get up now. He acts like he wants to grab things but doesn't now how to get his hand to the item. He will put anything he does get a hold of in his mouth. He loves to chew on his hands and his blanket. He is getting big.

Kane growing up fast
Kane is rolling over now and trying to crawl. He pulls his knees up and then pushes off. It is fun to watch. He is getting much better about not wanting to be held all the time also. The lady at daycare said he has hardly cried the last two days. He has been smiling at them when I pick him up. So that makes me feel much better. She said he loves to watch the other babies. He is watching the animals at home like crazy also. We are going to get him a walker this month. I think he would love it. He is sitting up much better now and holds his head up so good.

Kane doing great
Kane is settling in to daycare. They said he was in a really good mood on Friday so I think he is starting to get used to him. They found out that he likes to sit in a little chair on the floor and watch the other babies. They said he sat like that for a hour just watching the other babies and didn't make a peep. He is a curious little guy. Hates to be laying down. Wants to be up seeing what is going on. They said he is still not sleeping during the day. Which he started when we were in Nebraska. I can't get him to sleep more then 30 min at home either. He is sleeping about 9 hour at night. I hate to say it because it will probably backfire. But I think we have made it through the rough part of his stomach problems. He hasn't been fussy at all this week. He is spitting up a little but nothing like before. We just have to make sure he gets all his medicine first thing in the morning. I leave work at 3 everyday to pick him up and make sure he gets his next dose of medicine. It seems to be working out so far. I get the feeling teething is just around the corner. He is grabbing onto things like crazy and all of them end up in his mouth. He loves to rub blankets on his face. He is sitting up watching animal planet while I work on the computer. He laughs at the animals. It is cute. We tried cartoon network but he prefers the animals. He got a hold of Izzy's tail this morning when we were sitting in the recliner. I can't wait until he starts chasing them around.

Daycare
Kane has gone to daycare two days now. They said he is doing really good. He just hates to be changed for some reason. Can't figure out why he cries. At home he loves to be on the changing table. He laughs. But he hasn't been spitting up very bad the last couple days. I think the old ladies at daycare have the touch. They have a TV in the nursery that plays baby Einstein non-stop. So I am sure he likes that. He loves TV.
I got home and was sick. Somehow I ended up with an intestine infection. Dr said usually it comes from a urinary track or bladder infection but I had neither of those. I was having some of the worst pains I have felt in my life. Doctor thought it was funny to come in and tell me I was pregnant. That would have been BAD! He would have been treating Chris and I for heart attacks. But he gave me 3 meds and I seem to be feeling better. It was nice to go back to work. But there is alot for me to do. I guess that makes the days go faster.

Road Trip Home
The trip home went much better then the trip to Nebraska. We left earlier in the day so that Kane would be awake at the beginning of the trip instead of the end. He only fussed for about 45 minutes on the way home. It was nice to be home. I was glad to see my Izzy. I miss that crazy little cat.
Baby Shower
The Loos side of the family surprised us with a baby shower. We had no clue. It was really nice. We played a game where they melted candy in a diaper and you had to guess what it was. Chris and I thought we had it down until the answers came out and we only had 1 right. It was fun and we got some great gifts. Kane loves the floor toy and I love the TN diaper bag. Chris even is allowing me to use the diaper bag all the time because it is big and has lots of compartments for things.

Kane eating baby food
We started giving Kane baby food on Tuesday. He loves carrots and eats the peas. He is doing really good. Still got to get him to understand how to eat it without using the tongue so much. He pushes alot out. But he ate a good amount. I think we are going to have a big boy!
Kane to Dr again
The 1st three days we were in Nebraska Kane seemed to be feeling worse each day. He was throwing up alot and crying alot again. So we went to see a pediatrician here. She was extremely nice. Liked her alot better then the dr's we have in Savannah. She sent us over to St. Elizabeth to run a test on Kane's stomach and valve. It was really neat to watch. His valve looked good but he was full of gas/air. Dr. at the hospital thinks that is why he is so uncomfortable. They changed his medicine a little bit and told us to give it to him a different way. They didn't think he was getting it because he was throwing up so much. He is slowly getting better. He was great the last two days. Still a little fussy but seems to be much happier.

Road Trip to Nebraska
Man is it going to be a long trip home. I think we have scared Kane for life of the car seat. We decided to drive overnight so he would sleep most of the way. And that he did. Until we got to Saint Louis. Which is about 6 hours away. From then on it was screaming. He wanted out of his car seat. When we would stop and take him out he would smile and laugh and was happy as could be. But the second we put him back in he started screaming. It was miserable. I felt so bad for the little guy. Nothing I could do would calm him down. For about an hour if I shook his car seat he would close his eyes. But the second I stopped shaking it he would wake up and scream. I thought my arms were going to fall off. When we got up here it was 4 degrees. When we left Georgia it was 77. Now I know why I moved.

Kane 8 week visit
Kane had his checkup on Thursday. Dr. said he is a big boy. He weighed 13lbs 6ozs and is 24 inches long. Dr. said normally he would tell us to start trying cereal but since Kane has already been doing that for a month now he told us we could try veggies. He said he is about at the stage a 3-4 month should be at. He got his shots and boy did he hate that he held his breathe and changed all sorts of colors. The nurse did a great job at doing them quick. He was a little crabby that day but by the next morning was in a really good mood. We did have to switch medication again and are back to 5 doses a day. We go back to the specialist next month. We just can't seem to get his valve to do its job. He seems to be alot happier but is still spitting up like crazy. He usually starts to wimper before he does it so there is some pain there but alot less then before.

Bear not Monkey
So the toy is a bear not a monkey. It just hit me this morning when I was looking at it. Kane is a blast now. He laughed and smiled all day. He went to lunch with me and 3 female friends and just ate up the attention. He is just so darn cute and I don't just say that because he is mine. I get told all the time that he is beautiful. I can't wait to see how much he weighs at his next appointment. He is starting to get some rolls on his legs and arms. And man does he have cheeks. He started trying to grab stuff today. I think he will be a smart one. He is doing so good we are down to medicine 3 times a day and he doesn't have to see the specialist until next month. He still spits up alot but doesn't seem to be in pain. I just can't wait for everyone to meet him.

Great News for Kane
No surgery! Kane has been a new baby the last three days. It has been wonderful but it is weird getting used to it. I have to get used to what he wants now when he fusses. He is such a happy baby now. He gained a lb in just a week so the doctor said that means that his valve is doing enough. He is now over 12 lbs. He is still spitting up but he doesn't seem to be in any pain anymore. He ate 50 ozs in one 24 hour period! The nurse was shocked. But I think we topped him off because he is not eating nearly that much now. The doctor is leaving him on double the drugs for now to try and get rid of the irritation from the acid. He said it will take a while to heal up all the damage. But after a couple weeks we will just give him medicine in the morning as a preventative measure. The funny part of the visit was when the nurse didn't put Kane's diaper back on and put the stethoscope on his chest. He peed in her face and all over. It was funny. You would think she would know better. Since Kane loves laying on the floor we got him a little monkey toy that hangs above him. He loves it. He laughs and talks to it. It plays music and lights up when he kicks it. Just have to keep Izzy away from it.
