Kane getting closer to crawling

He is trying to lift his arms and legs now. Getting close.

Kane

Kane is funny. He keeps crossing his feet. When ever he is sitting he crosses his feet and watches his toes. He is always watching every ones feet. He is getting some legs on him. He is going to be my little chunky boy. He isn't even crawling yet and has started getting into things. I watched him from the other room on Sunday as he scooted over to the entertainment center opened the door and pulled out the PlayStation. I was like oh man are we going to be in trouble. He really goes after things now. He gets around like crazy in his walker. And he tries to get to the animals. Won't be long and the cats will be hiding and the dogs will want to stay outside. I think he is trying to get a tooth. I put some oralgel on it this weekend and his face was great. He didn't know what to think of that stuff.

So much for swimming in the pond

I had been thinking I would suck it up and start swimming in the pond. We go swimming in the river and I swam in lakes growing up so why not swim in out pond. Then I came home on Friday and got the answer. Chris and some buddies were fishing and caught this little guy. It is the 1st one that I have seen since we have lived at this house. But 1 is enough.

Kane sitting again

Kane sitting up

Kane is finally sitting up on his own

Right after we told the nurse that he isn't quite sitting up on his own yet he proved us wrong. She said it was just we were spoiling him. I don't think she knows what she is talking about. HA And it has become a game to pull of his bib. He is a little turkey.

Kane after shots

Kane 6 month checkup

We had Kane's 6 month checkup Monday. He did great. He had fallen asleep before she came to give him the shots. So he wasn't very happy when he woke up to needles. But as soon as I picked him up he was fine. He does so good with shots. We went shopping and he was laughing and smiling away. People couldn't believe he had just gotten shots. He grew another 2 inches. He is now 28.5 inches. He seems to grow 2 inches between every appointment.
He is 18 lbs 9 ozs. So the weight gain has slowed down. He is just getting long. Doctor said he looked great. And we are down to 1 pill every other day for his reflux. So he is almost a completely healthy little boy. He is changing fast. I hope we are ready. He is still fascinated with feet. He watches every one's feet and he is always grabbing his. He won't leave socks on. So I am glad it is warm. He is going to be a flip flop baby like his parents.

Kane scooting

He still prefers to scoot backwards. Chris has started calling him scooter.

Kane has started rocking...he usually stops when he see's me trying to record him

Kane loves to rub the mat...he likes feeling textures

Kane getting up on his knees

I bought Kane a mat for the floor so he could stop having to lay on blankets. They would slide when he would move. And well the 1st day he pulled his knee's up. Won't be long and he will be getting around. We aren't ready!
(He was airing out the package)

Rough Start To Easter

We had to take Kane to the doctor this morning. I thought he was teething ealier in the week but he started getting worse. He didn't sleep the last two nights because he couldn't breathe. Then last night he started crying but kept his eyes closed because the poor little guy was so tired. We were up all night. He was coughing really bad. All sorts of stuff coming out. He sounded horrible. He had a fever of 101 so I figured it was time to go in. Our pediatrician office has a doctor there 7 days a week so we went in this morning. He had a bad infection in his left ear and his lymph nodes were swollen. His throat was also red. They gave him some ear drops to try and help the discomfort and some antibiotics and decongestant. He is finally sleeping so hopefully it is helping a little.

Kane's 1st Easter...He is such a good looking boy!

Izzy Outside

Izzy

Izzy cries when we go outside now. So we started letting her go out when we are outside. She is a hoot to watch. He tail fluffs up really big and the fur on her orange spot on her back stands up. She chases the dogs and I don't think they understand. I hit a golf ball for Tweek and she ran after it. Marvin thought he was a dog and I am starting to wonder if she is also confused. She loves rolling around on the driveway. When we aren't outside and she cries to go out I put her on a harness. Chris said I am humiliating her.

Kane in his pool

Kane didn't like the cold water. I know I hate the cold water at first also. We signed him up for swimming lessons in June. I can't wait.

Kane in his 1st pair of swim trunks

Kane with his best friend Tweek...

He is also wearing the greatest bib ever. We found them at Carter's they are waterproof without the plastic on the back and they also fit around his thick neck. They are kind of costly but probably the best thing I have ever bought him.

Kane in his 1st hat...he likes it
