Marvin Passing
I lost my buddy Marvin this morning. It is amazing how attached you get to a pet. I have been crying all day. He had been sick for the last three weeks but you wouldn't have know it until this last week. We thought he was doing good and then all of the sudden this weekend he crashed. We thought he was making a turn around last night and then he passed this morning. I was holding out hope until that last phone call. I thought he was going to be coming home today. Didn't know it would be like this.
Marvin was the most lovable cat I had ever met. If you made a kissing sound he would put his head down and rub it against your face. He loved kisses and he would love to rub heads with you. He didn't care who you were or what you were. He was friends with everyone. Even the dogs. In fact over the last year I think he thought he was one of the dogs. He started hanging out with them outside and when you would drive up he would run up and greet you with the dogs. He loved to sleep on your pillow with you. Sometimes you would wake up and he would be looking at you. He always wanted to be with people. I knew he was going to be great with Kane but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Macamoe and him grew up together. She is going to miss him also. I am going to really miss my fuzzy guy.

Visit to Nebraska
In May we got a short visit to Nebraska. We came home to see Stacey get married. It was nice to see family but it was a really short trip. Because of work we only got to take a couple days. We plan to come home much longer in December. Chris was happy to get to see Alivia. He thinks she is a cool kid.

Baby Update
Had a visit with the Dr. yesterday. Everything is great with Kane. Now Shannon is another story. I have put on 40lbs! I told the Dr. I was getting really fat and she was like you look good. Then she looked at the chart and was like oh my gosh. She told me I put on 40 lbs and I didn't believe her so she showed me the charts. I was like oh man. So last night it was two miles on the treadmill. Kane is moving like crazy. Chris still hasn't been able to feel him because he stops moving when I put his hand on my belly. He was stubborn yesterday when they went to get his heartbeat. He was kicking the microphone thing. But then he finally let them hear his heart and it was good. We go back in a month for an ultrasound and the wonderful diabetes test. Looking forward to drinking that gunk. Did get some disappointing news. My Dr. is pregnant and due two weeks before me. So I am really bummed about that. I love her. But she said she will be there up to the last month of my pregnancy and will be back for my return visits after the baby. She is having a c-section so she knows when she will be out. The Dr. doing her care is one that I may have so I guess if she trusts him it should be ok. Well that is all for now. Gotta go hit the treadmill.
Kayak
Last weekend we decided to take a Kayak trip down the Ogeechee River. We went with a couple that we hang out with and their daughter. It was about 7 miles and took about 5 hours. The first 5 miles were alot of fun. There was a current so you barely had to paddle. We would stop every so often on sandbars and swim and eat. It was alot of fun. Then the last two miles were bad. There was no current at all. We had to paddle a ton. I wasn't used to working out. I have gotten very lazy. It was really pretty though. But we both learned a lesson in sun tan lotion. REAPPLY! I ended up with sun poisoning on my feet and ankles. I couldn't walk for two days. It was horrible. It looked like I had diabetes. I didn't have ankles for almost 5 days. I had sun burns before but nothing like this. My feet are just now getting their normal color back. But we have been working a ton and Chris has been doing alot around the house so the trip was a good break.
