Kane at Pool

Took Kane to the pool tonight. He had a blast. He was a little hesitant of the water fountains at first he really didn't know what to think of them. Then we went over and swam in the kiddy pool. I told Chris to send him down the slide. Chris didn't want to. He was afraid Kane would get scared and not like the water. I knew my little daredevil would like it. So I told daddy to just take him and I would catch him. The first time he came down he had a bit of balance issues and went under at the end. I didn't think he would want to do it again but as soon as I grabbed him he said again. After a couple times he had it figured out to just spread his legs out for balance. And then we had to slide about 50 times. After that he was ready to go he ran through the fountains and had a blast. We were there about 1 1/2 hours and he didn't want to leave but the pool was closing. It was fun to watch him. He was in heaven.

4th of July

Had a great 4th. We just stayed home and played. Kane loved the little poppers that you throw on the ground and they blow up. He loved throwing them at Tweek and us. Then we showed him how to step on them and boy did he love that. We went through 10 boxes of them. At least they were cheap. We played outside most of the day. I gave him his bath and put him to bed but he wasn't having it. So I let him come back outside. Grandpa, Daddy, & I just hung out on the front porch. Nikki and a friend showed up later and we all watched the fireworks other people were doing. Kane loved them. We had a pack of sparklers so we let him do those. Nikki went and got a couple fireworks to do in our driveway and Kane wasn't sure about that. I think he liked it better when they were in the air away from him. He went and sat in Nikki's lap and the eyes started rolling. He finally couldn't take anymore around 10:30. I couldn't believe he fell asleep with all the noise. But of course we are up bright and early today. Because my son doesn't know how to sleep in.
