Kane

Well we have 4 teeth finally. Teething hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. He doesn't want to sleep but at least he isn't screaming all day. I was up with him at 2:30 the day before last and then at 4:30 this morning. The kid is killing me. Last Friday he slept 14 hours. I had to finally wake him up. Hopefully he will do that again this Friday. It is crazy how 4 teeth decided to come in at the same time. We found a new daycare. It is much better. He has tons of room to run. He seems much happier there and they change his diaper 5 times a day instead of 2. When I dropped him off the last two days he smiled really big. Yesterday he crawled over to the teacher and started talking to her like crazy. We started laughing and he copied us. He is really watching other kids and copying what they do. He still won't walk on his own. He will take a couple steps then get down and crawl. He really loves the outdoors. If he is fussy I just put him in the grass and he is happy as can be. He has such a great personality. He is so into anything that he can get his hands on. He has gotten scratched by Izzy a couple times now but hasn't seemed to learn his lesson yet. I don't think she intends on scratching him. They are just playing. Mindy lets him crawl all over her. Any attention is good attention.

First Husker Game

First Husker Game

My new boss gave me a set of Husker tickets to the game last week. Kane wasn't feeling well so he stayed home with daddy and I took my sister Nikki. I embarrassed her by wearing my Tennessee shirt. I am loyal. We don't even own anything red in our house. It was fun. But I have to tell you the stadium was quiet compared to the SEC. Tennessee has one of the loudest stadiums in football. You can't talk at all it is so loud. And it flusters the other teams. Nebraska doesn't get excited very easy. Although I was impressed by the amount of red. I was probably the only person not in red. It is a very nice stadium. Over all it was fun. I just love football so I will go to almost any game.

Bike Riding

We decided to start getting some exercise. We took Kane on his first bike ride. He hates being strapped in. He figured out how to get out of the shoulder belts and then the lap belt. So we just let him be free. He falls over in the cart but won't fall out. He doesn't do to bad. But man we forgot how uncomfortable bike seats are. There is a nice trail that goes out to Pioneers Park so we have been riding out there.

On Saturday we had cousin Caleb for the day. So we went to the zoo. He loves the goats. We brought lots of quarters for food to feed them. Then we ended the day with a train ride. That night was football time. A bunch of family came over and we watched the game. We are so excited for football to finally be here. We have waited 8 months for this day. GO VOLS!

Grandma's 88th b-day

We went to Pioneers Park for Grandma Loos' 88th b-day. It was a great day. The weather was great and the kids had a good time. There are so many little ones now. There were 5 under the age of 1. And then 4 more only a couple years older. Kane loved crawling around in the grass and going on the swings. Roger tried to make Kole and Kaleb sick on the tire swing. It was very entertaining. Alivia was stinging everyone and having a blast doing it. She wore out the adults.

We finally found Kane a daycare on Friday. He started this week. So far he seems to be enjoying it. We really needed to get him back around the kids. His personality was starting to change. He was wanting attention non-stop. Today when we went to pick him up he wasn't ready to come with us. He was playing with another little boy about his age. He played so hard and wouldn't take a nap so we barely made it down the road and he was out. We like that the give us a little report card everyday that tells us what he ate and did. She said she could tell he had never had ranch crackers before. But she said he ate them. We said that doesn't surprise us the kid will eat anything.
