Kane
Man is Kane a go getter. That is getting into everything. It is funny we are in that stage when it gets quiet you better check. He is fascinated with the dog food bowls right now. Last weekend he tried to taste the food so now we have to make sure and put the bowls up if there is food in them. If they are empty I let him have at it. He loves to push them around on the floor. He has started to pull himself up with a little less effort now. It is a blast. He is just so funny. He has our tempers. If he can't get something right away he gets upset. Wendy at daycare is his favorite. She is there in the morning's when I drop him off and he is the 1st one there so they play. Her little boy is 3 and they are buddies. He hangs out with her and Kane until the other babies get there. She is a little more rough and tumble with him. She always shares her food with him which I am sure makes a difference also. The other day she said she had to go get her own brownie because he took hers and didn't want to share. She said he was trying to pull himself up in the crib for almost an hour. She said it was entertaining because he would get mad and yell then lay his head down for a couple seconds and try again. He finally got it. Now he is a pro. His favorite thing to do right now is be thrown on the bed. He loves it. If I am on the computer he will crawl in here and look at me and then look at the bed and smile.

Hot Weekend
It was a good and bad weekend. A really nice friend of ours gave us an above ground pool. They said they weren't going to use it because there wasn't a good spot in their yard for it. It is pretty nice and had everything we needed for it. That was great. I am sure we will get alot of use out of it. Since I am not going in that pond after the dogs brought me a 2nd snake. My friends were coming over Saturday morning so we could put it up before it got really hot. Has been over a 100 degrees last couple days. It is horrible. Saturday morning our air conditioner decided to quit working. Go figure it was suppose to be the hottest day yet. So we got the pool up and started filling it and put Kane in the shade in his little pool to keep him cool. He had a good time. Finally got someone out Saturday night to work on the AC. Try to get an AC man off hours in Georgia in the summer. Good luck. And $150 just to come out. I am in the wrong business. Finally got cooler in the house around 9pm. The pool was full around dinner time. So we got to take a dip. We bought Kane a float that he can sit in. But I don't think he understands the floating thing. He was kicking his legs like crazy. He was a little unsure at first. But loves it when you go under water and pop back up. I think after a couple more times he will like it. I know I will be in it alot. It felt great.

Kane Update
Well Kane started crawling forward really good a little over a week ago. Daycare had to put him in the playpen the other day because he keeps trying to take off out of the room. She said the 1st couple days he would stop when they said his name. But this time he just kept going no looking back. I thought it would be a while before he started pulling himself up and walking. Boy was I wrong. He started pulling himself up this weekend. Unfortunately while I was trying to get video of him pulling himself up the first time I wasn't paying close enough attention and he fell on the tile floor and got a good little bump on the back of his head. I was just so excited. I had the dishwasher open and went to put something in the cabinet and turned around and he was standing. He is just so much fun right now.
Last night we went to our first swimming lesson. He was a little unsure at first because there was so much going on around him. He doesn't mind getting water dumped over his head or being in the water. He didn't like the fountains. He was hanging on tight when we were by those. Last night they were just pretty much letting them get used to water. I have to admit one of the best parts was having lots of people tell you how cute your son is.

Tweek made a new friend
Sunday Kane and I watched Tweek play with a deer for about an hour and half. It was awesome. I had never seen anything like it. Tweek was barking at something in the woods and I thought she had a snake so I made her come to the house. But as she came running toward me a deer came following her. It ran right up to the car port. It hung out for a little while then ran off. Tweek went after it. When Tweek came back the deer came following her. This went on several times. They finally hung out for a while by the pond. It was really neat. Izzy even went out and checked the deer out. I was going to feed it because it wasn't running when it saw me. But I kept picturing the show when animals attack.

Kane getting around
Kane has become a ton of fun. He is getting around like crazy now and getting into everything. Toys aren't much fun anymore. He wants everything else. I just realized how good he was getting around the other day when I went to take a shower and came out and he was gone. Usually he sits in the living rooms and plays. He was in his bedroom. This weekend he finally decided to start crawling instead of scooting. And he has discovered he can move much faster. He is all over the place. We brought home a stray kitten and he went after her. We realized we just must not have been giving him the correct motivation. He loved that little kitty. But her owners were found so she went home. Macamoe and Izzy were very happy about that. We did have our first injury. He did a face plant on the wood floor and cracked his lip up pretty good. Had a little blood and fat lip. But lucky for him he doesn't have teeth yet so it wasn't really bad. It was cute watching him try to suck on his pacifier and his lip was sticking out over the top of it. Can't believe we made it this long without an injury.
